VIVO IPL 9 - IPL T20 2016 Team Owners

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India organized by BCCI  annually. It is one of the most watched T20 cricket league in the world. The IPL team Owners are the big part in IPL as they earn big money from this event. Here are the names of  owners of ipl teams.

Mumbai Indians: 

The team is owned by Reliance Industries Limited an Indian conglomerate holding company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Mukesh Ambani heads the company and wife Nita Ambani take part in the working of the team.

Kolkata Knight Riders: 

The KKR team is owned by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan in partnership with actress Juhi Chawla and her spouse a British origin industrialist Jay Mehta.

Kings XI Punjab:

The team is jointly owned by Bollywood actress Pretty Zinta (23%), Mohit Burman (Dabur Group 46%), Ness Wadia (Wadia Group 23%), and Karen Paul (Apeejay Surendera Group minor stake).

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

The team is owned by United Spirits (DIAGO Group Company). Siddharth Mallya son of Vijay Mallya act as the director of the team. This was the second highest bid for a team in IPL (US$111.6 million) next to Mukesh Ambani Mumbai Indians Team (US$111.9 million).

Delhi Daredevils: 

The team is owned by Grandhi Mallikarjuna (GMR Group). It is an infrastructural company headquartered in Bangalore. They purchased the Delhi team for US$84 million.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: 

The Hyderabad team is owned by Kalanithi Maran of the Sun TV channel Network. It is the one of the biggest television network with 32 TV channels and 45 FM radio stations. It is purchased for five years (US$15.9 million per year).

Rising Pune Supergiants: 

The team is owned by Sanjiv Goenka. He is the Chairman of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group. He is also the co owner of ISL football club, Atletico de Kolkata.

Gujarat Lions:

The Gujarat team is owned by Keshav Bansal of Intex Techonologies. The team will play in IPL 2016 and 2017 seasons.
